Finally

Okay, so finally I went to Todaiji Temple.

Nara City is home of Todaiji Temple, the largest wooden structure in the world. Inside this HUGE wooden structure is a gianormous Buddah. Seriously, I couldn't get over it's size. Unfortunately I didn't take a pic of it because my camera was acting up. I figure I'll be back a few more times, so i'll get pics later.

Todaiji Temple was burned to the ground twice, and when it was rebuilt they only built it 2/3 of the original size, but as you can see from the picture it's still huge.

At New Years they open these wooden windows and the Buddah looks out...pretty cool. I wasn't there at New Years because the line-up to get into the Temple was like a 2 hour wait.
